USE NATURAL ELEMENTS & SOFT COLOURS

FOR A RELAXED, EASY FEEL

To create a relaxed, easy vibe, costal design encompasses natural elements and neutral tones - think light weathered woods, wicker and rattan for furniture.

Mix with textured fabrics like jute and seagrass alongside light, billowy fabrics like sheer voiles for curtains, and earthy tones, layered blues, crisp whites, stripes, and linen for shades and upholstery.

Keep accent colours soft. Neutrals like beige, sand or khaki work really well in coastal schemes as do light blues, greys, and greens. Your palette can be adjusted according to the look you are trying to achieve, with true blues and crisp whites for Meditterranean appeal; corals and sky blue for a more exotic coastal style, and warm whites and pale blue-greens for a country coastal mix.
