HOW HIGH SHOULD I HANG A PENDANT LIGHT?


Consider the height of your family members and what activities take place in the room you are hanging the pendant. You may want to hang your pendants lower over a table or kitchen island but higher in a living room or bedroom. You don't want lights hitting anyone's head when they stand up or blocking the view of the person sitting opposite you at a dining room table.

Generally, we advise pendants are hung around 70-100cm above a surface.

HOW DO I CLEAN A GLASS LIGHT?


Cleaning our glass pendants is very easy although we recommend that you get to help you with our larger pendants.
  • First make sure the light is switched off and allow it to cool if necessary.
  • To avoid leaving finger marks on the glass, we recommend you use a pair of gloves to handle the shade.
  • Hold the glass shade in one hand, or get someone else to hold the shade for you, while you unscrew the thumb screws that hold the shade to the gallery and remove the glass.
  • Use a damp, lint-free cloth to wipe over the glass and polish it dry with a microfibre cloth.

WHICH BULBS WORK BEST IN A PENDANT?


Ceiling pendant lights provide great all-round lighting for tasking or ambiance so the majority of our pendants have an SBC (small bayonet) lamp holder for a 4W LED bulb (40W old style). However, if you want a brighter bulb, there is no reason why you can't use a 5/6W LED bulb (50/60W old style) as long your light has a BC (standard bayonet) lamp holder or you can find a brighter bulb with an SBC fitting.
