Lanterns have always been great story tellers. Originally used to signal a vacant room to the travel weary, to communicate between ships, and to signal railroad operations, these lights were a symbol of connection, sending a message of comfort across the night. Traditional lanterns still triumph today, adorning homes, entrances and hallways across the globe, from great public buildings to humble dwellings.

Our first lantern design was the Barnham, made 30 years ago, and inspired by gothic architecture but tweaked for the contemporary home. We continue to manufacture a range of large and small hanging lanterns in glass, brass and black for use as hall lights, staircase lights, roof lanterns, kitchen pendant lights and some are IP-rated for use as porch lights outdoors. Whether hung alone as a striking statement piece, or in a row of 2 or 3 over your kitchen island, dining table or hallway, our lantern collection includes vintage and modern designs to suit all tastes.
