CAN WALL LIGHTS BE PLUGGED IN?

Yes, we manufacture some of our most popular wall and pendant lights with a plug and inline switch so they can be plugged in anywhere you have a socket, without the need for an electrician. Plug-in wall lights and pendants provide instant, easy lighting that can be used straight out of the box, anywhere in your home. Our new collection of plug-in wall lights and pendant lights will give you that statement Jim Lawrence look in minutes without the worry of internal wiring.

Plug in lights for walls are a smart, simple lighting solution for your home that requires no modification, are easily fitted, and can be repositioned when and wherever you like with no fuss.  You can fit them straight out of the box without the hassle of internal wiring, so they are an easy solution to bedside lighting, or for providing additional light in a living room for working or reading by.

WHERE CAN YOU USE A PLUG IN WALL LIGHT?


A plug in wall light only needs a socket to work. No wiring is required, which means they can be used wherever there is a plug socket nearby, making them as easy to install and use as a floor or table lamp. Our customers use them as bedside lights, night lights, for additional lighting in a living room or kitchen and as an alternative to a desk lamp in a study or home office.

HOW ARE PLUG IN LIGHTS FIXED INTO PLACE?


The plug in wall lights are fitted with a trailing lead and in-line switch with a plug that is slotted into a nearby socket. The wall light fitting is supplied with two screws that you simply screw the backplate into the wall. There is also a cable holder that you can screw into the wall to keep your cable neat.

WHICH BULBS SHOULD I USE WITH A PLUG IN WALL LIGHT?

Our plug in wall lights are fitted with bayonet lamp holders for either small bayonet (SBC, B15) bulbs or standard bayonet (BC, B22) bulbs. Commonly, SBC bulbs are around 4-5 LED Watts (equivalent to a 40-50W incandescent bulb) and BC bulbs are around 6-7W LED (60-70W incandescent). We recommend a maximum wattage of 6 LED W for an SBC and 7.5 LED W for a BC lamp holder. We don't recommend halogen bulbs as they become very hot and can scorch fabric shades.
