DESCRIPTION The Ashwell is sister to our Camberwell Floor lamp and has been designed as a contemporary alternative to our more traditional looking Brompton and Nayland Reading Lamps. With its sturdy base, metal shade and clean silhouette, it is a compact floor lamp that would look lovely parked next to your favourite armchair or sofa or used to light up a dark corner of your living room.Floor Lamps are incredibly versatile as they can be moved wherever you want them, are as decorative as they are functional, and are an excellent source of additional light for brightening up a living room or dark corner anywhere, for providing an even spread of light or for reading or working by. Directional floor lamps like the Camberwell are an excellent choice for areas you wish to read and work in as the lamp directs its light downwards creating a bright pool of light. Hand forged from high grade steel and finished in our contemporary gunmetal grey Polished paint, the Ashwell has a fully adjustable shade with a ball joint that enables it to be angled wherever you want. All Jim Lawrence lights are made using traditional metalworking techniques that have been passed down through the generations and are finished to the highest standards at our Suffolk workshop. Floor lamps are supplied with an on/off switch so are not dimmable. Shade supplied. We recommend BC LED Classic GLS Bulb as the perfect accompaniment to your light as it is low energy, doesn't give off heat which is kind to shades and lights up to strength instantly.
