DESCRIPTION One of the first lights we designed at Jim Lawrence – and one of the most popular – our Double Cottage Wall Light has a strong, unfussy design that is ideal for country modern interiors and lends itself for use in bedrooms, kitchen diners and living rooms. Its fine proportions, beautiful ribbon detailing and generously sized drip trays oozes an elegant simplicity that is pleasing to the eye and has a versatility that looks equally at home in a traditional or contemporary setting. All our lights are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop. Our Double Cottage is made from solid natural brass and lightly antiqued for a subtle, aged look that makes an excellent choice for anyone wishing to update their interior without losing any sense of period charm. This is a flush fitting light, so you may need to use an architrave box and reducer lid behind the backplate to hide the wiring if you cannot make a cavity in your wall - see Our Backplates Explained. We recommend our LED Clear Candle Bulb as the perfect accompaniment to your light as it has the look of a heritage bulb, lights up to full strength instantly, is dimmable and will flood your room with a soft warm light. The Double Cottage is not supplied with shades but we have a huge collection of handmade candle clip shades in a multitude of colours to find your perfect match.
