The Ship's Light has a a robust, hand blown glass shade encompassed in an industrial-style steel cage that is reminiscent of the deck lights you used to find on ocean liners and steamboats. It's retro design gives it something of the look of a vintage find which is maybe why it has long been one of our most popular outdoor lights.

Jim Lawrence lights are made using traditional brass working techniques and are hand finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop. The Ships light can be bought as either as a ceiling mounted light or as wall mounted version and has an IP rating of 44.

Matt Black: Shown above in our Matt black, it is clean, uniform finish which looks fantastic in any contemporary or traditional interior. To achieve it, the paint is applied with a powder coating process that creates a smooth, hard-wearing surface suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Matt Black is a versatile finish that works well with any colourway and natural building materials such as brick, stone, plaster or woodwork. It looks equally at home in a modern property as it does a period one.
