Available in natural brass that has been lightly antiqued for a subtle, aged look, or in our painted steel finishes for a touch of urban chic, the Barbican is handcrafted here at our Suffolk workshop.

The Barbican is one of our most popular and versatile pendant lights, available as a single light or on a tack of three and in a wide range of finishes with complementing braided cable and ceiling roses.

Handcrafted here in Suffolk, it has a beautiful spun brass shade, decorative neck and vintage-style braided cable that ensures it will fit into any country modern kitchen scheme. It looks fabulous hung in a window, alcove, pantry or utility room as well as over a smaller breakfast bar or kitchen island.

Featuring a dainty fretwork design and an upturned lip, the Barbican has a neat, heritage appeal that will make a statement wherever it is fitted and is ideal for bringing a touch of metallic warmth to a scheme. The Barbican’s metal shade directs its light downwards creating a relaxed atmosphere in a room, or great tasking light over kitchen cabinets or a dining table.

WILL I NEED A PATTRESS?

Georgian Lighting Pattress

These lights have been designed with a flush fitting backplate. If you think there may be a problem housing the wiring in a wall or ceiling cavity, we recommend using our Georgian Lighting Pattress.

It screws on to your light's backplate to give added depth and hide the wiring.

HOW DO YOU CLEAN BRASS?

Our Antiqued Brass products are created from natural, un-lacquered solid brass that have been treated with antiquing solution to speed up the natural tarnishing process and create a lovely aged look that will darken naturally over time. To clean the brass, we recommend using a small amount of soapy water and/or buffing it with beeswax or a good quality wax polish to help protect the finish.
