Our popular Stafford Pendant is a traditional glass hanging lantern that creates an impressive outline for statement lighting in an hallway or high ceilinged living space. With its handblown bell jar glass shade, decorative metalwork and glass collar, it will add a characterful touch to any home, while its quartet of candle bulbs will provide plently of ambient light for even the largest of spaces.
In its design, we were inspired by Georgian lighting schemes where lanterns were widely used to welcome visitors over the threshold. Bell jar lanterns were hung in vestibules and entrance halls of Georgian homes where the high sided glass stopped candles being blown out when the door opened, while the glass 'hat' that sits above it also prevented smoke from damaging the ceiling. The Stafford looks wonderful suspended in a hallway, stairwell, landing or above a dining room table.
The Stafford is supplied with:
- 4 x ivory candle tubes.
- Fordham ceiling rose in old gold.
- 1m of brown cable and old gold chain.
- Bulbs purchased separately.
Please note: this glass is a natural resource and as each piece is individually handmade, slight imperfections may occasionally occur such as ripples and small bubbles.
