DESCRIPTION Our stunning, solid brass Ellwood Privacy Lock combines the best modern materials with handcrafted skills in a great quality thumbturn that works with our full range of door handles and knobs to secure your internal doors and look fabulous for years to come.In its two-part design, the Ellwood combines a classic round privacy thumbturn lock in our signature antiqued brass finish, with an emergency release coin turn plate that is fixed to the outer side of the door. We love working with brass because it is a beautiful, non-corrosive natural metal that develops a darker patina over time, and which we've accellerated by finishing it in our popular antiqued brass for a subtle, aged appeal. All Jim Lawrence products are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the very highest standards at our Suffolk workshop.
