A contemporary take on a traditional oil lamp, our Single Morston Wall Light has become a design classic. With its hand blown glass shade in a choice of clear or fluted styles and simple bevelled backplate, it has a country modern feel that will look equally at home in an industrial style loft conversion or sitting room as it would a country kitchen.
Displaying a generously sized glass shade and simple, unadorned candle tube holder, the Single Morston is an excellent alternative to traditional wall lighting with fabric lampshades. All
Jim Lawrence lights are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop. This Morston is hand forged from high quality steel and beeswaxed for a soft black, wrought iron look.

- We recommend our SBC Candle LED Filament Bulb as the best lamp fitting to accompany your light as it has the look of a heritage bulb but with modern energy economy. The bulb lights up to full strength instantly, will flood your room with a soft warm light, is dimmable and has a lumens (brightness) that is equivalent to a 40W regular bulb.

The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives is a lovely soft black wrought iron effect which looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre.
