The beauty of battery operated lamps is that you can take them anywhere without the need for complicated wiring, plug sockets or even much electrical know-how! You won’t need to choose a permanent place for your table lamps, so imagine the possibilities when it comes to rearranging, directing and positioning the light in your home. Just choose your shade, charge it up and off you go. Use a cordless table lamp to turn a dark corner into a cosy reading nook, to open up those less used spaces such as a landing or mezzanine; add romantic mood lighting for atmospheric dining, or to turn an under stairs table into an instant work space.
As you would expect from us, the Thorncroft is a solid table lamp in a classic column design that suits modern and traditional interiors and is made from quality natural brass finished in our lacquered antiqued brass for a heritage appeal. In a first for Jim Lawrence, this wireless lamp has the added benefit of an integral, battery operated, LED luminaire that is shielded by a specially designed ‘diffuser’ that hides the LED nodes whilst still producing excellent light. This LED has a competitive run time compared to most on the market, is dimmable and easy to use - just touch the on/off button on the base once to get maximum illumination, hold it down to dim it to the required level and press it again to switch it off.
Unlike many other rechargeable lamps where the shade is integral to the design, ours is compatible with a standard
pendant lampshade with a 40mm opening, so you can style it as you like. Just unscrew the shade ring to fit.
