In an age when adornment was unaffordable for most, blacksmiths designed home fittings to be as pretty as they were practical, so these heavy duty hinges will not only look good on your doors, but should giveyou many years of service. Shown above in our polished finish, this Pin hinge is made in our forge and then painted in our metallic polished paint for a lacquered steel appearance. This traditional, heavy duty hinge has an arm that slots onto and rotates around a single pin attached to the butt. It is suitable for hanging most sized doors as well as large cabinets or chest lids. They are generally used in pairs and fitted to the top and bottom of your door, with a third in the middle for larger doors. We also make a Heavy Duty 50cm Hinge for heavier doors. Supplied with fixing screws in the same finish. Hinges sold individually. When fitting, we recommend you drill a pilot hole – or small starting hole - for each screw first.
