DESCRIPTION Designed to be a little different, our delightful Linden Coat Hook will add a decorative flourish to your scheme with its flamboyant loop and diamond back plate. Hand forged from solid steel, this double hook has been made with a deep neck to allow plenty of space for hanging heavy items. They look fabulous when hung in a row to make a feature of kitchen items or in a bathroom for your towels. Try them in a landing, hallway or child’s bedroom to house collectibles and keep clutter off the floor. This Linden is supplied in our beeswax finish, a traditional method for darkening steel that has been used since Tudor times and produces a beautiful soft, black wrought iron look. We do not recommend our beeswax finish for hanging up damp items or for use in bathrooms or outdoors as it may rust in a humid environment. We feel that Matt Black is the preferable option. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives is a lovely soft black wrought iron effect which looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre.
