Jim Lawrence – and one of the most popular – our Double Cottage Wall Light has a strong, unfussy design that is ideal for country modern interiors and lends itself for use in bedrooms, kitchen diners and living rooms. Its fine proportions, beautiful ribbon detailing and generously sized drip trays oozes an elegant simplicity that is pleasing to the eye and has a versatility that looks equally at home in a traditional or contemporary setting.
All our lights are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop. Our Double Cottage is made from high quality steel and beeswaxed for a traditional forged iron look that makes an excellent choice for anyone wishing to update their interior without losing any sense of period charm.
- This is a flush fitting light so you may need to use an architrave box and reducer lid behind the backplate to hide the wiring if you cannot make a cavity in your wall - see Our Backplates Explained.
- The Double Cottage is not supplied with shades but we have a huge collection of handmade candle clip shades in a multitude of colours to find your perfect match.

Finish: Beeswax - A traditional metalworking technique used since Tudor times. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives is a lovely soft black wrought iron effect which looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be rewaxed occasionally.

This product can be customised for a small additional cost dependant on the number of customisations required.
Finish Options: already available in antiqued brass, matt black, old gold, old ivory, plain ivory and polished. This item can be supplied in any of our other painted finishes - clay, slate grey and shaker green.
