Our Aldham Window Stay is an elegantly turned, hand crafted brass window stay designed for casement windows, from our stunning collection of brass, forged iron and steel window handles, locks and fittings.
An essential fixture for casement windows, window stays will keep your window open and in place when the window is open, and securely shut when the window is closed.These 30cm stays are made from weighty solid natural brass that is incredibly tactile to handle and open with a smooth mechanism that pronounces their quality. With acorn finials and an elegant thumb screw that locks the stay in place, the Aldham Window Stay has been lightly antiqued for a subtle, aged look which makes them as decorative as they are practical.
- The 30cm stay is suitable to use in windows that are approximately 50-60cm wide and comes supplied with two keeps.
- Kindly note, they are not suitable for tilt and turn windows.
- They will NOT work with our lockable stay pins.
Kindly note, our window stays are designed for side-hung casement windows and will not work on a top-hung casement window because of the angle of opening. The stay needs to sit flat to latch, and a top hung casement window will take it up at a steep angle. Instead, you will need to use a friction hinge, which are not currently in our product range.
FINISH
Antiqued Brass: A beautiful natural finish produced by distressing the brass to create a soft patina that is then treated with antiquing solution to speed up the natural tarnishing process and create a lovely aged look that will darken naturally over time.
