With its gently tapering sides, a French Drum shade offers a more traditional look than its more contemporary cousin - the cylinder – and will wash your room with a soft, flattering light that will create a warm, inviting atmosphere wherever it is placed.
All our shades are handmade here at our Suffolk workshop by our team of expert shade-makers and are also available as cut lengths and cushions if you are looking for a coordinated look. SILK CHARACTERISTICS
As a natural fibre, silk dupion has a prominent textured slub in its weave that is irregular in appearance and there may be variations in shade. Fading and deterioration may occur over time, especially in sunlight and is more noticeable in darker colours. We don’t recommend it for lampshades that will sit in, or near, a bright window. Please take a look at our lovely collection of faux silks which we have sourced for customers wanting the look and feel of pure silk in a more robust fabric.
