Designed specifically for use with our Lamarsh wall light, these shades are a great way to create soft, ambient light in a room. Our silk dupion shades are always the most popular because pure silk is a uniquely beautiful fabric with a luxurious textured quality and richness that cannot be reproduced in other materials. Not surprisingly, these qualities makes it much sought after in both period and contemporary homes for soft furnishings and bedding. All our silk candle shades have a fabulous natural sheen and distinctive weave that makes them stand out from the rest, however, as a natural fabric they do need looking after as they can fade and deteriorate over time.

Silk Characteristics


As a natural fibre, silk dupion has a prominent textured slub in its weave that is irregular in appearance and there may be variations in shade. Fading and deterioration may occur over time, especially in sunlight and is more noticeable in darker colours. We don’t recommend it for lampshades that will sit in, or near, a bright window. Please take a look at our lovely collection of faux silks which we have sourced for customers wanting the look and feel of pure silk in a more robust fabric.
