Our delicious new Duck Egg Hunstanton Velvet has a rich, sumptuous weave that lends itself to soft furnishings and is an excellent way to bring a feel of luxury and vitality to an interior without the need to redecorate.Our Hunstanton velvets come in a collection of contemporary tones inspired by the sea and skyscapes of north Norfolk as we wanted the range to evoke the dramatic sunsets and vast, stretched out sands of Hunstanton and the surrounding coastline. A velvet shade will add softness to a room in daylight and help create a gently atmospheric glow when the sun goes down. An opaque fabric, it will not diffuse light as much as cotton or linen but will channel it through the top or bottom of a shade creating a dramatic effect. All our shades are handmade here at our Suffolk workshop by our team of expert shade makers. Choose a classic Empire, or Tapered candle shade for a traditional look, a French Drum shade for a more contemporary option or one of our cylinder candle shades for a modern touch to your décor. Please note that this shade can only be used on a lamp base (bulb pointing up). We strongly recommend you order a swatch before ordering any of our fabrics to help you decide if it right for you.
