All our shades are handmade here at our Suffolk workshop by our team of expert shade makers from fabrics picked for a sumptuous quality that lends itself to soft furnishings. Many of our gorgeous fabrics are also available as cut lengths and cushions if you are looking for a coordinated look and they are an excellent choice for freshening up an existing colourway or as an accent in a new scheme. Pure silk dupion is a uniquely beautiful fabric with a luxurious quality and richness. The fabric is made using raw silk yarns that are tightly woven together to produce a highly lustrous surface with natural 'slubs' ( lumps and bumps of thickened yarn) that are characteristic of silk but may not be everyone's taste, especially if you are after a more uniform look. Natural silk may also fade over time, especially in darker colours.We always recommend orderings a free swatch to check the fabric is to your liking before you order.
