Our beautiful, Nickel Heart Door Knocker has quickly become one of our most popular products and we are thrilled that you love it as much as we do. With its weighty, heart shaped hand knocker and mini heart-shaped back and striker plates, it is a subtle, quirky design which oozes character without losing its innate elegance. At Jim Lawrence, we believe that the exterior design of your home is as important as inside because what you choose to put outside serves as a teasing taster of the beauty within. We think our Heart Door Knocker truly reflects that.
For centuries door knockers were fairly simple cast iron rings, painted black and designed to be sturdy and useful rather than decorative. As the middle classes grew and sought more character for their homes, and blacksmiths honed their skills, door knockers became more decorative, often relating to local patterns and trades. Handcrafted from solid, natural brass that is nickel coated for a bright, reflective appeal, our
Heart Door Knocker highlights the skill of our metal workers and their ability to produce products that suit contemporary and period properties.
- May not be suitable for a composite door, see additional information below.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Dimensions: 17H x 15.5W x 3D (cms)
Fitting: Screws provided in the same finish
Additional information: The Heart Door Knocker may not be suitable for a composite door (depending on what material the door is made from) as it is fitted with screws and may be too heavy for the outer layer. In this case we recommend our Lion's Head or Melton knockers as these are fitted with a bolt and nut that goes right through the door.

FINISH
Nickel: Our nickel lustre is created by plating solid brass with highly polished nickel then finishing it with a flash coating of chrome that will add to its durability and create a crisp, clean silvery patina to brighten your room. Nickel is a versatile finish that works well with any colourway and natural building materials such as brick, stone, plaster or woodwork. It looks equally at home in a modern property as it does a period one and will catch the light more than our painted finishes, so is great to use if you want to make a statement, as it will help draw your eye.
