These curtain rods are made to measure from premium quality, high strength steel tubing and are suitable for all curtains. We also make a wide range of complementary finials, brackets and rings for you to choose from. All our made to measure poles are hollow so the finials slot inside them and are fixed by grub screws. Pole length Any length of pole can be ordered, but once over 180cm we would recommend using a central support bracket and if over 180cm long the pole will be supplied in two (or more) equal parts with a joiner rod. Because the poles have a smooth surface, the beeswax doesn't adhere to them as well as it does to the finials, brackets and rings so they often have a shiner and slightly lighter tone than the accessories. In practice, customers don't normally find this a problem once their poles and curtains are hung and many prefer a natural finish, but if you are after a more uniform look, please consider matt black finish instead. We do not recommend a beeswax finish for use in a humid environment, as it is harder to maintain and may rust. We feel that Matt Black is the preferable option.
