The Suffolk is made from high quality steel that has been beeswaxed for a soft, black, rustic quality that will enhance the look of your doors. It is also available as a
latch set and a smaller
drawer pull version for your cupboards and drawers.
Kindly note, we do not recommend the beeswax finish for bathrooms or outdoor use, as it may rust in a humid environment. We feel that Matt Black is the preferable option.
FINISH
Beeswax: A traditional technique used since Tudor times. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives is a lovely soft black wrought iron effect which looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be rewaxed occasionally.
