DESCRIPTION If you are looking for a traditional lighting scheme for your kitchen or dining room, our Grantchester Pendant could just be the ticket. A striking, double armed pendant with a solid central bar, it is handcrafted from high quality steel that has been finished in our new bronze metallic paint for a naturally aged bronze look. The Grantchester is designed to sit above a kitchen island unit, breakfast bar or dining room table where its fabric shades will provide ample lighting for those all important tasking jobs, yet emit a warm soft glow ideal for dining, especially if used with a dimmer switch to adjust the brightness. This pendant requires shades that will fit a lamp base - for more information please see our Shade Orientation Guide It has a flexible ball joint that connects directly into the ceiling plate. We recommend our BC LED Golf Ball Bulb as the perfect accompaniment to the Grantchester as it has the look of a heritage bulb, is dimmable, gives off a warm, white light and has a brightness equivalent to a 40W old style bulb. We recommend these shades for a complementary look - 25cm Sloped Oval Shades and our 25cm Medium French Drum Shade Product Information Bulb fitting: standard bayonet (BC, B22) Fitting option: can be supplied with an E14 (small edison screw) bulb holder for Europe for a small additional cost upon request. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives is a lovely soft black wrought iron effect which looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre.
