DESCRIPTION The Jim Lawrence Georgian Window Stay is an elegant, hand crafted brass window stay designed for timber casement windows from our stunning Georgian Collection. These 25cm stays have a lovely, weighty solid brass rod that wiht a decorative reeded handle that is incredibly tactile to feel and opens with a smooth mechanism that speaks of its quality. Brass fittings have become a staple of modern interiors as their 'honeyed' tones inject a sense of warmth and a timess, heritage appeal into your home.An essential fixture for casement windows, window stays will keep your window open and in place when the window is open, and securely shut when the window is closed. These window stays are handcrafted using traditional brass working techniques and have been antiqued for a subtle, aged look that will enhance any window in a contemporary or period home. Pair them with our brass window latches, electrical accessories and door and window furniture for a stylish, uniform look throughout your home. The Georgian Window Stay is supplied with two pegs that can be spaed along your windowsill as required. We make matching Georgian window latches. A lockable window stay pin may be purchased if required. PRODUCT INFORMATION Length: The overall length is 29cm, from end to end. The stay alone is 25cm.Sizes: It is available in 3 lengths (25, 30 & 35cms) and works with a variety of window sizes.Finish: Antiqued Brass - A beautiful, natural finish produced by distressing the brass to create a soft patina that is then treated with antiquing solution to speed up the natural tarnishing process and create a lovely aged look that will darken naturally over time. Antiqued Brass is an incredibly versatile finish that works well with any colourway and natural building materials and looks equally at home in a modern property as it does a period one. To find out more about our finishes and how best to maintain them, please read our Product Finish pages.Additional information: Our window stays are designed for side-hung casement windows. They won't work on a top-hung casement window because the angle of opening is too steep. The stay needs to sit flat to latch into the peg holes and a top hung casement window produces a steep angle that prevents the stay from latching into the peg holes. Instead, you will need to use a friction hinge that is not currently in our product range.
