DESCRIPTION
Enjoy our handsome, 1 gang, 20amp double pole isolator switch, hand forged from high quality steel and finished in beeswax for an elegant, rustic look that will add a touch of contemporary style to any room in your home. Our fused switch plates are all made with a slimline brass or steel backplate that sits flush against the wall, with either a straight bevelled edge for a sleek, modern look to your home, or an uneven, hammered edge for a more rustic feel.

Double pole isolator switches cut the power to a specific circuit or appliance to allow for safe maintenance, testing or repairs. They are generally used for high power appliances like integrated fridges, washing machines, wall heaters, showers and immersion heaters. All Jim Lawrence products are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand-finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop.

Kindly note: Please ensure paint & plaster is completely dry before fitting beeswax switches and sockets to a wall. Our switches are designed to sit flush against the wall so any residual moisture might tarnish the finish. We also do not recommend using beeswax in rooms with high humidity as the finish is harder to maintain and may rust. We feel matt black is a preferable option.

FINISH

Beeswax: A traditional metalworking technique used since Tudor times to give a rustic, soft black finish. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives it a lovely soft black wrought iron effect that looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be re-waxed occasionally.
