Our fused switch plates are all made with a slimline brass or steel backplate that sits flush against the wall, with either a straight bevelled edge for a sleek, modern look to your home, or an uneven, hammered edge for a more rustic feel.Fused switches, also known as fused spurs, are used for appliances that need to be installed without a plug, or on a separate cable from the ring main for safety purposes. A double pole (DP) fused switch includes an additional isolation device making it an even safer type of switch to use. All Jim Lawrence products are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand-finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop.Kindly note: Please ensure paint & plaster is completely dry before fitting brass switches and sockets to a wall. Our switches are designed to sit flush against the wall so any residual moisture might tarnish the finish. Antiqued Brass is an incredibly versatile finish that works well with any colourway and natural building materials such as brick, stone, plaster or woodwork and looks equally at home in a modern property as it does a period one.
