Jim Lawrence products are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the highest standards at our Suffolk workshop. All our letterboxes are available in a choice of finishes to complement our range of door furniture.
- our external letter plates are sprung so can be used vertically.
- However, our internal letter plates do not have a spring, so are not recommended for doors with vertical letterboxes.
Kindly note, brass is a natural metal and will tarnish (darken) with age. To maintain its brightness and reflective lustre, our polished brass products will need to be polished reguarly with good quality brass polish.

Finish: Polished Brass - Our polished brass is created by polishing the brass by hand on a wheel which gives it a beautiful reflective look. It will naturally darken and become matt over time, so to lighten it you will need to buff it regularly with brass cleaner to return it to its original hue. Our external letter plates are supplied with 2 bolts that simply bolt through the door.
STEP 1
First correctly position the plate on the outside of your door
STEP 2
Mark where the bolt holes need to be.
STEP 3
Remove the plate and drill the bolt holes.
STEP 4
Reposition the plate and screw into place with the 2 bolts, washers and nuts provided.
