If you need picture lighting ideas, look no further than our classic Drummond Picture Light that will illuminate your favourite pieces of art in the most beautiful way without detracting from the artwork. Using a picture light to highlight a piece of wall-hanging art is a great way to bring out the best in your home decor, as well as adding to the layers of light available to create a relaxed homely feel in your room.

At Jim Lawrence we are passionate about producing elegant, classic lighting designs that will look equally at home in a contemporary setting as a traditional one, so our picture lights should suit any space. All our lights are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop.

Our Medium Drummond Picture light is made from solid, natural brass that has been painted Matt Black for a smart, uniform look and has a weighty quality that befits its handmade nature. It comes with two fixing choices enabling the light to be attached to a wall or the picture frame.

Finish

Matt Black: A clean uniform finish that looks fantastic in any contemporary or traditional interior and works well with natural building materials like brick, stone, wood and plaster. To achieve it, the paint is applied with a powder coating process which creates a smooth, hard-wearing surface that is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Where does it look good?

  • On any small to medium sized picture or piece of art.
  • If you have a large bookshelf or wall to wall shelving, try fixing the picture lights to some of the higher shelves to create lovely mood lighting.
  • In cottages and older homes, use a picture light to highlight architectural features like a small nook, alcove or piece of exposed stone or brickwork.
