DESCRIPTION Our beautiful, handforged Lindsey Cupboard Latches are the perfect partner for traditional kitchen cupboad and pantry doors. Handcrafted by our skilled blacksmiths in our Suffolk forge, these traditional thumb latches are made from milled steel and feature a finger hold knob and decorative penny end fixing plates that bring a touch of heritage style to your home.Shown above in our beeswax finish for a soft, black, rustic appearance that suits modern and traditional interiors, the latch set includes x 5 fixing screws in the same finish. For matching accessories, see our Suffolk range of metal fittings including Suffolk pull handes, hinges and fireside companion sets.Kindly note, we do not recommend the beeswax finish for use outdoors or in a humid environment, as it is harder to maintain and may rust. We feel Matt Black is a preferable option. PRODUCT INFORMATION Dimensions: 7H x 19WHow to Clean Beeswax FINISH Beeswax: A traditional metalworking technique used since Tudor times to give a rustic, soft black finish. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives it a lovely soft black wrought iron effect that looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be re-waxed occasionally. TIPS FOR FITTINGDrill a pilot holeSee our Screw Fitting Guide
