We have incorporated a pair of USB charging ports into our best-selling 2 gang plug socket so that it now combines practicality with a handsome slimline design that will look as stunning in a modern house as it will a traditional one. The plug socket is wired for the UK, with 13amp black rocker switches on an beeswaxed steel bevelled plate and two USB ports, perfect for charging phones, cameras and all your electrical devices. The Double Socket with 5V USB Charger will charge at 2.1amp in total, but when 2 devices are plugged in the current rating is halved. All Jim Lawrence switches and sockets are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop. All our sockets are hand forged from high grade brass or steel and sit flush against the wall, with a raised bevelled or hammered edge for a decorative touch to suit any interior. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives is a lovely soft black wrought iron effect which looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior.
