A beautiful, hand forged single plug socket made from forged iron and beeswaxed for a soft, black look that will add a touch of contemporary style to your room. This plug socket combines a 1 gang, 13 amp switched, slimline design with a black switch and inserts to create a simple, sleek look to suit modern and traditional homes.
All our sockets are hand forged from high grade brass or steel and sit flush against the wall, with a raised bevelled or hammered edge for a decorative touch to suit any interior. All Jim Lawrence switches and sockets are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the very highest standards here at our Suffolk workshop.

Finish
Beeswax: A traditional metalworking technique used since Tudor times. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives is a lovely soft black wrought iron effect which looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be rewaxed occasionally.
Kindly note, we do not recommend the beeswax finish for use in a humid environment, as it is harder to maintain and may rust. We feel Matt Black is a preferable option.
