DESCRIPTION Evoke the romance of bygone days with our wonderfully graceful, eight-armed, Wickham candle chandelier. Lovingly forged from solid steel, the Wickham has been designed to create instant atmosphere in your dining room bringing the warm, gentle flicker of candlelight to your evening meal or dinner party. All Jim Lawrence products are made using traditional metal working techniques and are hand finished to the highest standards at our Suffolk workshop. This stunning chandelier is made from high quality steel that is finished in beeswax to give it our popular soft black look that will suit any period or modern home. It comes fitted with a beeswax ceiling rose. The Wickham is 75cm high x 69cm wide and 69cm deep. Candles are sold separately and can be found here. Kindly note, we do not recommend beeswax for use in a damp environment as it may rust. Finish Beeswax: A traditional technique used since Tudor times. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives is a lovely soft black wrought iron effect which looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be re-waxed occasionally. To find out more about our finishes, please read our Caring for Beeswax in the Jim Lawrence Knowledge Base.
