Lovingly crafted from solid steel and featuring a classic oval shape and flap that will add decorative interest as well as keep out the draught, this Priory is shown in our popular polished lacquer finish which will work well with any grey or neutral colourway and is an excellent choice for a contemporary home or to update a period one. To create our polished lacquer finish, we heat and polish the underlying steel to bring out its natural patina. It is then sealed with a high gloss clear lacquer to add durability. This produces a gorgeous, hard wearing gunmetal grey colour which will suit any period or modern home. The Priory Escutcheon is 5cm high x 3cm wide and is also available in beeswax and matt black or as a brass version in antiqued brass, nickel or polished brass.
