Following our recent acquisition of local artisanal glassblowers, Suffolk Glass, we are looking to recruit an experienced Scientific/Production glass blower for varied glass blowing, mainly working with a lathe.

Jim Lawrence has built up a reputation for making high-quality lighting and home accessories using traditional handcrafted techniques. The team has expanded greatly since the brand began at the kitchen table of Jim’s farmhouse, but their ethos to nurture British craftsmanship remains the same.

Today Jim Lawrence employs a skilled team of 150 engineers, welders, painters, seamstresses, designers, lampshade makers and technicians, alongside a cohort of support staff in their Suffolk workshop. Both Jim Lawrence and Suffolk Glass individually handmake their products in a time-honoured tradition, befitting their rural East Anglian location, so it was a natural step to join forces.
