PRODUCTION / FINISHING ASSISTANT

FULL TIME, 40 HRS A WEEK, Monday to Friday, 8.00am until 4.30pm
Location: Hadleigh, Suffolk


Jim Lawrence is a family run manufacturing business based in Hadleigh, Suffolk, specialising in lighting and home interiors. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work as a Production / Finishing Assistant, helping to support the smooth running of the Production and Finishing Team at our Suffolk HQ. This role will suit someone prepared to take full ownership of the role, work safely, efficiently and to a high standard in line with our standard operating procedures (SOPS) and the training provided.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Take responsibility for your own and others' safety, always adopting best practices, wearing appropriate PPE and raising near misses.
  • Check the quality of one's own work and escalate any issues.
  • Be personally accountable for completing day-to-day activities in accordance with training, skills and standards.
  • Signals irregularities in the operation of machinery and equipment.
  • Escalation of any problems in completing day-to-day targets/work e.g. product quality and job training, adopting a stop and fix approach
