DESCRIPTION
A beautiful 2 gang dolly dimmer switch hand forged from high quality forged iron and traditionally beeswaxed for a soft black look that will add a touch of contemporary style to any room in your home. These switches are all made with a slimline brass or steel back plate that sits flush against the wall, with either a straight bevelled edge for a sleek modern look to your home, or an uneven hammered edge for a more rustic feel.

Each Jim Lawrence dolly (toggle) switch is 20amp, 2 way which means it can be used for switching lights from either one or two places such as from the top and bottom or your stairs. Our rotary dimmers are also 2 way and are universal 120w trailing edge types that are suitable for good quality dimmable LED bulbs, incandescent bulbs and dimmable CFL bulbs. They are also compatible with good quality dimmable electronic transformers. The minimum load on the dimmer module is 10w. Higher wattage dimmer modules are available on request. Please call our sales team for more information.

Finish

Beeswax: A traditional technique used since Tudor times. The metal is heated until it darkens and then dipped in natural beeswax which gives is a lovely soft black wrought iron effect which looks fabulous in any traditional or contemporary interior. As beeswax is a natural finish that reacts with the underlying metal during the forging process, it often has a subtle, slightly mottled patina with undertones of deep grey or ochre. It is not waterproof, so will need to be re-waxed occasionally. To find out more about our finishes and how best to maintain them, please read Keeping Beeswax Clean   in the Knowledge Base.
