PICK, PACK & DISPATCH ASSISTANT


FULL TIME, 40 HRS A WEEK
Location: Hadleigh, Suffolk


Jim Lawrence is a family run manufacturing business based in Hadleigh, Suffolk, specialising in lighting and home interiors. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work as a Pick, Pack & Dispatch Assistant (PPD) helping to support the smooth running of the PPD Team at our Suffolk HQ. This role will suit someone who is prepared to take full ownership of the role, works safely, efficiently and to a high standard in line with our standard operation prodcedures (SOPS) and the trinning provided.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Picking and packing customer orders.
  • Dispatch.
  • Basic quality control, checking the quality of thier own operations and escalating issues.
  • Required to work in a safe manner, adopting best practices, wearing appropriate PPE and aware of near misses.
  • Personally accountable for completing their day-to-day activities in accordance with their training, SOPs and drawings.
  • Proactively suggests improvements in processing, tooling and equipment to increase the safety, quality and efficiency of the team.
  • Responsible for looking after equipment, and taking a stop & fix approach to any problems, ensuring issues are raised with the team leader.
  • Maintain housekeeping to a high standard, ensuring work areas are kept clean and clutter-free, clearing up as you go.

  • Someone who works in accordance with procedures and rules who is confident to ask for help or clarity when required.
  • A team player who is prepared to support their colleagues to make sure team targets are met.
  • Someone with a 'can do' attitude who is always on the look out to make improvements in ways of working, and who is happy to learn new skills and undertake a range of tasks.
  • Able to use general hand tools and follow written SOPs.
