Our solid brass Canterbury Lantern is a stunningly handsome outdoor pendant light that will instantly draw your eye thanks to its imposing proportions. Designed to illuminate your front door, porch or gateway, it has a robust quality and timeless elegance that will suit modern as well as period properties.
In its making, we were inspired by the beauty of Georgian and Victorian carriage lanterns that we have reimagined in simpler, more contemporary, yet practical style for today’s homes.
Our Canterbury is hand forged from solid, natural brass that has been lightly antiqued for a subtle, aged appearance and is IP rated 33, see our IP Ratings Explained - Outdoor. We have cleverly designed the Canterbury so it can be used as a wall light if hung from one or our specially designed wall brackets that can be purchased separately. Not stopping there, we have also created our Large Canterbury Lantern in the same design but with even larger proportions for those looking to make an even bigger impact!

- We recommend our BC Squirrel Cage LED Bulb as the perfect accompaniment for your light because it lights to full strength instantly, will flood your room with a soft warm light, is dimmable and has a lumens (brightness) that is equivalent to a 50W regular bulb.

Antiqued Brass: A beautiful, natural finish produced by distressing the brass to create a soft patina that is then treated with antiquing solution to speed up the natural tarnishing process and create a lovely aged look that will darken naturally over time. Antiqued Brass is an incredibly versatile finish that works well with any colourway and natural building materials such as brick, stone, plaster or woodwork.
