HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN MADE-TO-MEASURE POLE 1. Use our guide for tips on How to measure for a curtain pole.2. When you know length of pole you require, the next step is to choose the supporting brackets from our range of 38mm brackets in matt black. We make a range of different styles - Chapel, Brett, Sleeve, Recess, Extended and Double Pole for you to choose from.3. Select the finials you would like from our range of 38mm finials in matt black. All our made to measure poles are hollow so the finials slot inside them and are fixed by grub screws.4. Finally, work out the number of curtain rings you require. We recommend 1 ring per 7cm of pole. If you have an architrave, window frame or radiator that sits particularly proud of your walls, you may need an extended bracket to ensure your curtains hang in front of them. They are double the depth of our normal brackets. WHAT DO I NEED FOR A RECESSED WINDOW? If you have a window without a facing wall to fix your pole to, you will need to use a pole with recessed brackets, or you can use a side fixing dormer rod.
