Our collection of portieres and dormer rods
are made to measure and available in a wide choice of finishes.
We also offer brackets to support longer lengths of dormer rods.
If you'd like advice on using or measuring for portieres and dormer rods please give our knowledgable sales staff a call.
Button Dormer Rods are useful for small recessed windows
as the rod will swing back against the wall letting in maximum light. These rods can also be used over doorways, though the extra length may cause it to drop slightly at the end.
The maximum recommended length is 120cm, but over about 100cm (depending on the curtain weight) you're likely to need a support bracket (our code 648). For lengths over 120cm we recommend a portiere rod, or curtain pole and brackets.
We make the dormer rods to measure and need the total length of the rod, from the end of the button finial to the centre of the hinge. (The hinge is 5cm wide.)
Cannonball ended Portieres are designed to open and close with the door. We make the portieres to measure and need the total length of the portiere, from the tip of the finial to the centre of the hinge. (The hinge is 2cm wide.)

Rings can be purchased by clicking on 'Add Product Options'. We suggest 1 ring every 8 to 12cm, so you may wish to adjust the number of rings if your dormer rod is shorter than 64cm or longer than 96cm. This can be done from your basket, after you've added the rings.
