Our wall lights with raised backplates are a more practical option if you are not keen, or not able to create a cavity in your wall to house the wiring. They have the capacity to house the connector box and wires withing the fitting itself so eliminates the need for a back box. For more it is a matter of preference, but for those with solid brick, stone or plaster and lathe walls, there may be no other option.
