If you are looking for a classic wall light with a twist, our super new Brooke Wall Light should fit the bill. Influenced by our hugely popular Club Wall Light, the Brooke has the same vintage appeal but with the added benefit of a shade. This wall light's neat, unfussy presence looks equally at home in a contemporary setting as it does a more period one and it has an added versatility - you can choose its orientation.
Fit it upwards for a modern twist to traditional wall lighting, or downwards for a more classic look. Pair it with one of our fabulous handmade fabric shades to bring softness to a room. A fabric shade allows more light through its sides so is a great way to add layers of light to a scheme, as well as brightening up a dark corner.
Please note you will need a STRAIGHT SIDED or PENDANT shade if you wish to fit this light facing downwards.

- We recommend a BC (B22) Golf Ball LED Filament bulb or Classic GLS LED as the perfect accompaniment to your light as they light up instantly, are warm white in colour and are dimmable.
- You could also try an oversized bulb like our BC Squirrel Cage LED without a shade, for a more industrial look.
- This is a flush fitting light, so you may need to use our Georgian Lighting Pattress to hide the wiring if you cannot make a cavity in your wall - see Our Backplates Explained.

Finish
Matt Black: A clean uniform finish that looks fantastic in any contemporary or traditional interior and works well with natural building materials like brick, stone, wood and plaster. To achieve it, the paint is applied with a powder coating process which creates a smooth, hard-wearing surface that is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Matt Black is a versatile finish that works well with any colourway and natural building materials such as brick, stone, plaster or woodwork. It also looks equally at home in a modern property as it does a period one.
Maintaining the finish
As this is powder coated painted finish it will require no on-going upkeep, however would advise that you simply wipe it over with a clean, lint free, soft cloth from time to time to remove any residual build-up of dust and dirt on the product.
Where does it look good?
- Hung on walls between windows or in alcoves to create lovely layers of lighting in a living or dining room.
- Either side of a fireplace, mantelpiece and chimney breast or any architectural feature you wish to highlight.
- Used to create cosy bedtime lighting on either side of your bed for dressing table mirror.
