Our brass poles are available in two diameters, 19 and 25mm, and are made to measure. Please Choose from a range of 19mm finials to fit this pole.Pole length
Any length of pole can be ordered, but if over 180cm long we would recommend using a central support bracket and if over 210cm long it will be supplied in two (or more) equal parts with a joiner rod. The join will be covered by your central bracket.
Please note – we cut and finish each made to measure pole to your bespoke requirements, which may cause a slightly later dispatch time than our usual in stock products. Antiqued Brass: A lovely, natural finish created by treating solid brass with antiquing solution to speed up the natural tarnishing process to create a lovely aged look that will darken naturally over time. We recommend that you regularly buff your curtain pole with a soft cloth to remove any dust that may gather on the top and prevent it from settling on the curtains. Rubbing a candle along the top of the curtain pole will aid the smooth movement of the rings along the pole and also help prevent a build up of dust.
To lighten the brass just buff it occasionally with a small amount of brass cleaner to return it to its original hue. To find out more about our finishes and how best to maintain them, please check out our product finish pages.
Please note: Our brass poles are made from extruded solid brass tube, whilst the finials, brackets and rings are made from solid cast brass. This means that the pole has a much smoother appearance than the accessories and takes on the antiquing solution in a different way. They will never be a perfect match but over time will dull down to a similar, tarnished finish.
Where does it look good?
- Antiqued Brass is an incredibly versatile finish that works well with any colourway and natural building materials such as brick, stone, plaster or woodwork.
- It looks equally at home in a modern property as it does a period one.
- Antique Brass will catch the light more than our painted finishes so is great to use if you want to make a statement, as it will help draw your eye to your windows.
